
KANSAS CITY —A father and son have been charged in connection with a shooting in the area of 34th and Wyoming in Kansas City after the two men tracked a missing vehicle to that location, according to Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker.

Charles Harrison Jr. , 55, and Charles Harrison Sr. face charges in connection with the shooting. The younger Harrison faces Assault 1st Degree, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Use of a Weapon, while the older Harrison faces Assault 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action charges.
According to court records filed, Kansas City Police Department officers were dispatched on a reported shooting. Officers soon located a victim on the ground. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Harrison Jr. stated he was tracking a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Raytown. He had tracked it to the area of 34th and Wyoming, he said. He and his father drove there in a black Toyota. Video showed that vehicle accelerating toward the victim and shots were fired.
This case remains under investigation.
