RAY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Saturday in Ray County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2009 GMC Sierra driven by a 16-year-old Polo, Missouri, girl was northbound on MO 13 just north of Route HH. The pickup crossed the center of the road and struck a southbound 2018 Ford Explorer driven by a 62-year-old driven by a 62-year-old Richmond woman.
A southbound 2002 Dodge Ram driven by a 21-year-old Lathrop man then rear-ended the SUV.
The driver of the Ford was pronounced dead at the scene. Ray County EMS transported the teen driver to North Kansas City Hospital. There were not other injuries. All three were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
