
KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just after 8:30p.m. Tuesday, police officers were dispatched to a shooting at a convenience store in the 7000 Block of Prospect, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.
Officers were led inside the store where they located a shooting victim, unresponsive on the ground. Officers rendered aid and called for EMS to come to the scene. EMS pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Preliminary information indicates that there were numerous people inside the store when the victim and a suspect or suspects had an interaction that escalated, eventually to gunfire, which struck the victim.
There are no suspects identified or in custody at this time. Police did not release the name of the victim.
