KANSAS CITY —One person was rescued from a fire at a home in Kansas City.
Just before 7:30p.m. Saturday, crews responded to a reported house fire in the 5400 block of Lydia Street in Kansas City, Missouri, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.
On arrival crews reported fire from a two-story home. Interior operations were initiated using two-handlines. Searches were conducted and a female resident was found and taken from home. She was treated and released on the scene.
Authorities are working to detarmine the cause of the fire. Redcross was ordered for two adults, and Dangerous Buildings along with City Planning were requested, accoring to Hopkins.
