RILEY COUNTY. – A Manhattan woman is under investigation on serious allegations.
Just before 4p.m. Saturday, police filed a report of attempted murder in the first degree in Manhattan, according to a media release from the Riley County Police Department. A 13-year-old boy was listed as the victim. A known 44-year-old woman was listed as the suspect and identified as 44-year-old Amanda Lynn Etter of Manhattan.
Just after 8:30p.m. police arrested her on requested charges of attempted murder in the first degree. She is being held on a bond of $1 million. Police released no additional details including the relationship between the suspect and the victim.
