CASS COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 7a.m. Sunday in Cass County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Chevy Trailblazer driven by a 55-year-old Monnett man was northbound on Interstate 49 at the 150.6 mile marker.
The SUV traveled off the left side of the road and struck a guard rail. The driver and three occupants were ejected from the vehicle.
EMS transported the driver to Research Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. EMS transported a 4-year-old girl and an 8-year-old girl, both of Aurora, Missouri, to Children's Mercy. EMS transported a 27-year-old man and 20-year-old woman, both of Aurora, Missouri, to Truman Medical Center. Only the 4-year-old was properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
