
KANSAS CITY—One person died in a house fire Tuesday in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just after 3:30a.m. Kansas City Fire Deparatment companies were dispatched to a reported house fire in the 1600 block of Elmwood, according to Battalion Chief Riley Nolan.
The first arriving company reported fire showing from the 2nd floor of a 2-story home and initiated an offensive fire attack.

Searches of the structure were completed, and firefighters found a victim deceased in the second-floor bedroom. Red Cross has been ordered to assist with 3 adults. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
