MCDONALD COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities continue asking the public to help them locate 49-year-old Dawn Wynn. She is accused of murder and armed criminal action in the November 2021 shooting of her husband in southwest Missouri, according to McDonald County Missouri Sheriff Rob Evenson. She is charged with shooting her husband in the back of the head while he slept.

She should be considered dangerous and could be armed. She is described as 5-foot-2, 150-170 pounds with short black hair.

Due to a recent Missouri Supreme Court ruling, over objections from the prosecuting attorney, Wynn was out on bond and on pre-trial release where she had to check in by telephone, according to Evenson.

If you have any information regarding her whereabouts, please call the McDonald County Sheriff’s Office at 417-223-4318 or your local law enforcement agency. Exercise caution and do not approach. McDonald County is approximately 49 miles southeast of Baxter Springs, Kansas.
