HARVEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 2:30p.m. Thursday in Harvey County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Freightliner semi driven by Jared Lee Caviness, 35, Remsen, Iowa, was west bound on U.S. 50 exiting to South bound Interstate 135. The semi traveled off the roadway to the right scraping the barrier wall of the ramp and then rolled onto its side. First responders worked to remove cattle from the overturned trailer. EMS transported Caviness to a Wichita hospital. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
