Sheriff: Kansas woman accused of selling drugs

JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on drug allegations.

Just after 11:30p.m. July 18, a sheriff's deputy  conducted a traffic stop on a 2004 Honda Civic on U.S. Highway 75 near 110th Road, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

Illegal drugs and a firearm were found during a search of the vehicle. The driver, Renee Elizabeth Rivera, 35, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges for distribution of narcotics, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of a weapon and interference with law enforcement.
