WYANDOTTE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a deadly shooting in Wyandotte County and a stray bullett that struck a school bus during the incident.
Just after 6:30a.m. Monday, police were dispatched to N 18th St and Longwood Avenue in response to a reported shooting, according to. amedia release from Kansas City, Kansas Police.
Upon arrival the officers located one adult male with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased on scene. At the time of the incident a USD 500/Kansas City, Kansas public school bus traveling in the area was inadvertently struck by gunfire. No students on the bus were injured. There is no suspect in custody at this time.
