
KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement investigating a weekend homicide in Kansas City, Missouri have made an arrest and released the name of the victim as 32-year-old Katrice Williams, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.
Just after 3a.m. Sunday, patrol officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 3800 block of East 62nd Street in Kansas City, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.

As officers arrived they were directed to the backyard of residence on 62nd street. First responders found Williams suffering from gunshot wounds. KCFD EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
This is being investigated as a homicide and police have made an arrest. Demario McGee, 37, faces charges of 2nd Degree Murder, two counts of Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon, according to the Jackson County Prosecutor's office.
