(Radio Iowa) - Governor Kim Reynolds hasn't made an official announcement about a campaign in 2026, but she sounds like a candidate for reelection.
During a news conference on Tuesday, Reynolds was asked about fellow Republican Brad Sherman, the Williamsburg pastor who announced on Monday that he'd challenge Reynolds in 2026. Reynolds told reporters she's proud of what she's been able to do as governor and she'll be running on her conserative record.
Reynolds referred to Sherman as her opponent and added that he probably voted for the proposals she submitted to legislators over the past couple of years. Sherman served in the Iowa House in 2023 and 2024.
