PHELPS COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 1a.m. Tuesday in Phelps County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 GMC Sierra driven by Kasey M. Cloud, 27, Decatur, Illinois, was westbound on Interstate 44 in Rolla.
The driver lost control the pickup. It struck a concrete barrier, traveled off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and rolled.
One passenger was ejected. Cloud was partially ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. EMS transported a passenger identified as Ricky L. Dunn, 30, a 3-year-old girl and 1-year-old boy all of Decatur, Illinois, to Phelps Health. The adults were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
