RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating alleged fraud in Riley County.
Just after 9a.m. Thursday, officers filed a report of fraud, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report. A 47-year-old woman reported an unknown suspect used information obtained through an online job application on Facebook to open various accounts, while the victim provided the alleged scammers with gift cards.
The total estimated loss associated with this case is $1,153.
