KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting and asking the public for help to identify a suspect.
Just after 6p.m. Saturday, police responded to a shooting at a business at 42nd Terrace and Noland Road in Independence, according to a media release.
First responders located a man and woman outside the business. Both had gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
It is believed the victims were involved in a disturbance with the suspect inside the business prior to the shooting. The suspect fled prior to officers’ arrival.
Detectives are trying to identify a person of interest and released security camera images on Sunday. The suspect was driving a grey colored SUV type vehicle. If anyone knows who this person is, please contact our Investigations Unit at 816-325-7330 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
