Kan. sheriff's K9 alerted to meth in parked pickup

JACKSON COUNTY, Kan. —Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on drug allegations.

Just after 2a.m. April 5, a Jackson County Sheriff’s K-9 alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics in a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 parked near Mayetta, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

The alleged driver of the vehicle, Dustin MacAllister Nicol, 45, of Mayetta, was placed under arrest and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of THC, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
