BOONE COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 1p.m. Thursday in Boone County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Toyota Rav4 driven by Madison L. McArthur, 18, Sturgeon, was westbound on MO 124 at Route CC.
The driver failed to stop at the stop sign and traveled into the path of a southbound 2021 Ford F600 driven by Daniel G. Brandt, 34, Jefferson City. The front of the the Toyota struck the right side of the Ford.
A passenger in the Toyota identified as Kara M. Teel, 18, Centralia, was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the county medical examiner's office. EMS transported McArthur to University Hospital. Brandt was not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
