MONITEAU COUNTY — Two people died in an accident just before 7p.m. Saturday in Moniteau County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica driven by Richard E. Manning, 79, California, Mo., was eastbound on U.S. 50 just west of Cross Lane Road.
The minivan rear-ended a 1988 Kenworth grain truck driven by Benjamin A. Knipp, 26, Tipton, who was starting to make a left turn.
Manning and a passenger in the Chrysler Mary L. Manning, 74, California, Mo., were pronounced dead at the scene. Knipp was not injured. Richard Manning was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
