PETTIS COUNTY —A MoDOT team member died in an accident just before 11:30a.m. Tuesday in Pettis County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Peterbilt 379 driven by Brandon J. Knox, 18, Hughesville, was northbound at 17566 MO Higheway O.
The vehicle struck a pedestrian identified as Jay L. Bone, 60, Smithton. He was pronounced dead by the Pettis County Coroner and transported to Heckart Funeral Home in Sedalia. Knox was not injured and properly restrained, according to the KHP.
