Update: Amber Alert cancelled; 2 children taken in Missouri found safe

UPDATE: The children were located safe in Miami, Oklahoma and the suspect 35-year-old Hilda Melendez is in custody, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

MCDONALD COUNTY--  Authorities have issues an Amber Alert from McDonald County, Missouri involving two children and  a non-custodial parent, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The suspect identified as 35-year-old Hilda Melendez allegedly assaulted a woman who was watching the children and took them.   She is described as white, with brown hair and brown eyes, weighs 130 pounds and is 5-feet-3 inches tall.

The children are identified 8-year-old Genesis Padron, and 4-year-od Samuel Padron.

The suspect vehicle is described as a red 2009 Ford Flex with the Missouri license RA1J1L
