MIAMI COUNTY —A Kansas teen faces several charges after a weekend arrest.
Just after 2 a.m. Saturday, the Miami Sheriff’s Office Communications Division received a 911 call reporting a burglary in the 29000 block of Old KC Road, according to a media release.
The reporting party stated that a partially naked man had entered a structure where their dogs are kept. As deputies arrived, the homeowner directed them to the individual, who was wearing only pants. Deputies took him into custody without incident.
The individual was identified as Ayden Christopher Leach, 18, of Leavenworth, Kansas. He was arrested on requested charges of Pedestrian Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs, and Consumption of Liquor by a Minor. Residents in the area were awakened by Leach yelling and by his friend attempting to get him into a vehicle safely.
