SALINE COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 6:30p.m. Thursday in Saline County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Ford Ranger driven by Dale R. Montgomery, 79, Lee's Summit, was westbound on Interstate 70 at U.S. 65.
The pickup slid off the road, struck a guardrail and overturned.
Montgomery was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Campbell Lewis Funeral Home. Saline County EMS transported a passenger Thomas J. Mumm, 73, Lee's Summit, to University Hospital in Columbia. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
