Christy Davis campaign for U.S. Senate
TOPEKA, KS — Christy Davis officially filed to run for the United States Senate, launching her campaign to bring experienced, solutions-focused leadership to Washington and offer Kansans a clear alternative to Senator Roger Marshall.
The filing comes on Davis’s 51st birthday, a milestone she says reflects a lifetime rooted in service, problem solving, and fighting for Kansas communities.
“For me, this has never been about titles or politics,” Davis said. “It’s about Kansas. It’s about whether families can afford healthcare, whether rural communities can survive and grow, whether working people feel like anyone is still showing up for them. I’ve spent my career fixing problems and building partnerships, and I’m ready to take that work to the U.S. Senate.”
Davis enters the race with decades of experience in public service, economic development, and rural advocacy. Most recently, she served as Kansas State Director for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development, where she helped oversee investments in housing, healthcare facilities, infrastructure, utilities, and small business development across Kansas.
During her tenure, communities across the state benefited from federal investments that strengthened rural hospitals, expanded access to broadband and clean water, supported local businesses, and created economic opportunities in places too often overlooked by Washington politicians.
Prior to her USDA leadership role, Davis built a reputation as a pragmatic and respected public servant known for bringing people together to deliver results. Her work has consistently focused on improving government accountability, reducing bureaucratic barriers, and helping communities access the tools they need to thrive.
Supporters say Davis brings a level of executive and operational experience that is increasingly rare in modern politics.
Davis said her campaign will focus heavily on lowering costs for families, protecting rural healthcare, strengthening economic opportunity, defending reproductive freedom, and restoring accountability and stability in public service.
“Our politics have become too performative and too disconnected from the realities people are living every day,” Davis said. “Kansans don’t need more chaos. They need someone who will show up, listen, and get to work.” To learn more, visit: christydavisforkansas.com
