Mustangs win again, staying unbeaten with blowout victory at Clarinda

The St. Joseph Mustangs are flat out dominating early on in the 2024 season.

The Mustangs (7-0) rolled to a 17-1 win at Clarinda Wednesday night at Municipal Stadium.

The Mustangs scored five runs in the sixth and poured on seven in the eighth. Dom Felix went 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs scored.

Mason Holton drove in four runs. Carson Schrack and Bishop LeBlond alum Frank Gall drove in three.

St. Joseph Central product Roy Holcomb got the start and the win on the mound, striking out six over six innings, allowing just five hits and no earned runs.

St. Joseph is now 7-0 on the season and they come home tonight to face the Carroll Merchants. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 at Phil Welch Stadium.
