PETTIS COUNTY —A Missouri teen died in an accident just after 2:30p.m. Sunday in Pettis County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Chevy Silverado driven by a 19-year-old Windsor, Missouri, man was eastbound at a high rate of speed on McVey Road just west of Bohon Road. The pickup traveled off the left side of the road, returned to the road, traveled off the right side of the road, started to slide, returned to the road, traveled off the left side rolled and struck a grove of trees
A 16-year-old female passenger from Lincoln, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene. Pettis County ambulance transported the driver to MU hospital and two other teen passengers to Bothwell Hospital. The driver and the teen who died were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
