HICKORY COUNTY —One person died in an accident just brfore 8a.m. Thursday in Hickory County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Chevy 1500 driven by Ronald J. Kinney, 38, Wheatland, was eastbound on U.S. 54 four and one half miles west of Wheatland.
The pickup traveled off the right side of the road and the driver overcorrected. The pickup began to skid out of control, crossed the centerline, traveled off the left side of the road, struck a fence and rolled.
Kinney was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Hathaway Peterman Funeral Home. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
