KANSAS CITY —One person died in an accident just before 5p.m. Tuesday in Kansas City, Missouri.
A blue Harley-Davidson Sportster was eastbound on Coal Mine Road, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez. The driver failed to negotiate a curve in the road just before Winchester. The motorcycle traveled off the roadway to the left, struck multiple trees, and ramped through a wooded area before coming to rest.
The driver was ejected from the motorcycle and transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased by medical staff.
This marks fatality #15 for 2026, compared to #11 at the same time last year, according to Gonzalez.
