Homicide: Police ID couple found dead in car in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement investigating a double homicide in Kansas City, Missouri have identified the victims as 26-year-old Brittnee McMillon and and 28-year-old Jerrell Westmoreland.

At 9:30p.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to the 1300 block of E. Armour Blvd. in Kansas City, Missouri, on a sound of shots call, according to KCPD Sergeant Jake Becchina.

Multiple callers reported the sound of gunfire from behind an apartment building there. On arrival officers were directed to a parking lot in the back of an apartment building where they located a vehicle with shooting victims McMillon and Westmoreland unresponsive inside. 

Officers called for EMS who declared both victims deceased at the scene. Homicide detectives responded to the scene to conduct their investigation along with crime scene investigators processed the scene for available evidence.  Police have not released details on possible suspects.
