WYANDOTTE COUNTY–Law enforcement are investigating a weekend homicide in Kansas City.
Just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday officers with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department were called the area of North 11th Street and Barnett Avenue to investigate a shooting.
When officers arrived on the scene they located a woman, outside of her home, that had been shot. She was taken to the hospital, where she died from her injuries.
The KCK Major Case Squad went to the scene to gather evidence and are trying to find out what led to the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
