ADAIR COUNTY — A Georgia man was killed at 4:30 a.m. Thanksgiving morning in a single-vehicle accident just north of Kirksville.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Honda Civic driven by Timothy M. Chambliss, 39, Forsyth, Ga., was southbound on U.S. 63 just north of the Kirksville city limits.
The vehicle ran off the road, struck an embankment and overturned.
Chambliss was pronounced dead after the accident. There was no indication why the vehicle left the roadway.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported.
