CRAWFORD COUNTY —Two people died in an accident just before 3p.m. Tuesday in Crawford County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Steven Cook, 60, Bland, was southbound on Highway 19 at Highway CC.
The motorcycle traveled into the path of an eastbound 2017 Subaru Outback driven by Patrice M. Davis, 60, Cuba, Mo., who was preparing to cross Highway 19 to Highway CC.
The SUV struck the left side of the motorcycle. Both driver and a passenger were ejected from the motorcycle. After impact the SUV rotated clockwise, traveled off the east side of the road and struck a state sign support.
Cook was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger on the motorcycle identified as Sharon M. Cook, 59, Bland, was pronounced deceased at Missouri Baptist Hospital. A private vehicle transported Davis to a local hospital.
The occupants of the motorcycle were not wearing helmets, according to the MSHP.
