SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man on drug charges after a traffic stop on a bicycle.

Just before 9:30p.m. July 22, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a bicycle in the 300 block of NW Paramore Street in Topeka for failing to have a headlight, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.

During the investigation, it was discovered that the bicycle rider 31-year-0ld Carlos A. Brown of Topeka, had a felony warrant out of Jackson County. Brown was placed into custody and deputies also located illegal narcotics.

Brown was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for his felony warrant and also faced requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and a bicycle not equipped with a lamp when in use at night.
