RUSSELL COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a drowning at Wilson Lake have identified the victim as 52-year-old Andrew M. Jauch of Colorado, according to a media release.
On Tuesday morning, divers recovered his body. Through investigation it was learned that the boat Jauch was riding in had broken down and that Jauch had jumped into the water to cool off. Due to windy conditions, Jauch was separated from the boat.
The other occupants attempted to assist him, but their efforts were also hampered by the windy conditions.

RUSSELL COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a possible drowning at Wilson Lake, according to a statement from the Russell County Sheriff's Office.
Just before 4p.m. Monday, a male subject went missing while swimming in the lake. The Kansas Department of Wild life and Parks, Army Corp of Engineers, Russell County Rural Fire, Kansas Highway Patrol and Russell County EMS all responded to assist the Sheriff's Office with the search.
The sheriff's office will released additional details after family has been notified.
