JOHNSON COUNTY—A restaurant in Johnson County is temporarily close after a fire.
Just before 8:30p.m. Wednesday, firefighters responded to a reported building fire at China Buffet, 2030 E. Santa Fe Street in Olathe, according to a social media report from the Olathe Fire Department.
The fire appeared to originate from commercial cooking equipment. The fire was contained to the cooking system and did not spread. However, smoke migrated into an adjacent business where firefighters used fans to ventilate the occupancy. No injuries
Authorities have not released a damage estimate.
