Kansas Trooper helps rescue injured bald eagle

ELLSWORTH COUNTY —A Kansas State Trooper helped rescue an injured bald eagle on Saturday in Ellsworth County.

According to a social media report from the KHP Troop C, "An act of compassion and teamwork on westbound Interstate 70  just east of the Kansas 156 exit in Ellsworth county."

"Kansas Highway Patrol Lieutenant Brown and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks came to the rescue of a majestic injured bald eagle. Lieutenant Brown responded to the scene, showing dedication to protecting our wildlife."

"The team carefully picked up the injured eagle, known for its strength and resilience, despite its wounded wing. The bird is now on its way to a sanctuary where experts will do everything possible to help mend its wing and give it a chance at a new life."
