CASS COUNTY—A Missouri man died in an accident just before 8:30p.m. Wednesday in Cass County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Dodge passenger vehicle driven by Righi A. Elghussian, 75, Kansas City, Mo., was westbound on MO 58 at the MO 291 South Junction.
The driver failed to stop at a stop sign and traveled into the path of a northbound 2009 Mercedes Benz driven by Kristi L. Schnorf-McCulley, 51, Lee's Summit.
The Mercedes struck the drivers side of the Dodge. Elghussian was pronounced dead at the scene. South Metro EMS transported Schnorf-McCully to Research Medical Center. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
