JOHNSON COUNTY —A Missouri woman died in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Wednesday in Johnson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Kia Soul driven by Mary E. Kuykendall, 65, Holden, was northbound at D Highway and attempted to cross Highway 50. An eastbound 2021 Mack semi driven by Thomas W. Hurst, 40, Warrensburg, struck the Kia.
Kuykendall was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the Johnson County Coroner's office. Hurst was not injured. Kuykendall was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
