POLK COUNTY—A Missouri woman died in an accident just before 4p.m. Thursday in Polk County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Chevy Cavalier driven by Kathy L. Warner, 61, Buffalo, MO., was westbound on MO 32 three miles east of Halfway.
The car traveled off the road, struck a culvert, became airborne and overturned.
Warner was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to a funeral home in Buffalo. EMS transported a 14-year-old passenger in the car to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
