Sheriff: Suspects captured after armed-robbery at Kan. store

JACKSON COUNTY— Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects after a robbery and theft at a Kansas convenience store.

Just after 11 pm Sept 22, deputies responded to report of a robbery at the Seven Eleven store located at 111 U.S. Highway 75 in Holton, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

The men left after allegedly taking a financial card from the clerk. The suspects drove away in a white Dodge Charger. Holton Police and Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area. A Jackson County Sheriff’s deputy located the vehicle two miles south of the City of Holton and executed a car stop on the vehicle.

An assortment of area law enforcement officers descended on the scene where the two men were taken into custody. Mondre Malik Willis, 21, of Flint, Michigan, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of robbery, criminal use of weapons, possession of firearm by an addicted person, possession of a hallucinogenic drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rory Amere Deion Gillespie, 20, of Flint, Michigan was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of robbery, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
