JOHNSON COUNTY—Drivers escaped serious injury after a three vehicle crash and fire.

Just before 3:30p.m. Thursday, the&nbsp;Shawnee Fire Department, Shawnee Police Department, and Johnson County MED-ACT responded to a three-vehicle crash near Midland Drive and Lackman Road in the city of Shawnee, according to a social media report.

Upon arrival, firefighters reported one well involved vehicle fire. Crews extinguished the fire. Two patients sustained minor injuries and did not require transport.
