Ernest F. Huber, 73 of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020. He was born February 19, 1947 to the late John and Velma (Shipley) Huber in St. Joseph, MO.&nbsp; Ernest married Linda Milbourn on October 16, 1970 in Easton, MO.

Ernest served his country honorably in the United States Army 1st Infantry Division during the Vietnam War. After returning he worked for St. Joseph Packaging, Kerns Construction Company, Altec and owned his own business, Huber Auto Repair.

Surviving family, of the home, his wife Linda; children, Jason (Gloria) Huber, Hobbs, NM and Sacha (Daniel) Matherly, Seminole, TX; brothers, John and Joseph Huber; sister, Shirley Keyes; grandchildren, Claire, Noah, Madelyn, Zuzu and George; numerous nieces and nephews; and great friends, Charles and Linda Wheatley

Preceded in death are his parents; and sister Ann Smith.

Ernest was an amazing woodworker and artist. He enjoyed playing the guitar, drawing and painting. He loved restoring classic Mustangs.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Cathedral of St. Joseph. Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery with Full Military Honors. There will be a private family rosary held the day prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to The National Pancreas&nbsp;Foundation or the Cathedral Open Door Food Kitchen.

She cooked around the area for many different restaurants.&nbsp; She enjoyed her grandchildren and family gatherings&nbsp; especially the family vacations to Branson.&nbsp; Linda liked playing bingo and going to the boat.&nbsp; In her younger years she played softball and guitar.

Survivors include two daughters Tammy Andrews, Jennifer Wood (Jason); four grandchildren, Jayben, Britney, Cody, Phoenix; brother John Currier; sister Karen Currier Baldwin (Gary); sister-in-law Kay Currier; nieces, nephews, &nbsp;great-nieces and great-nephews who were like her grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents &nbsp;and a brother Ed "Frog" Currier.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.&nbsp;

Richard “Buzz” Evans, 75, Country Club, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020.

He was born April 21, 1945 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Richard and Alice (Hahn) Evans. Buzz married Sandra Jean Gray April 21, 1980. She survives of the home. At a young age Buzzy dedicated his life to the sawmill business. He was a lumber grader, buyer, sawyer, consultant and mentor for many, for over 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, going to sporting events of his grandchildren, and taking care of his family. Buzz had a great sense of humor and was always a giver, wanting to make sure everyone else was happy, even if it meant putting himself last. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tedo; sisters, Marilyn, Terry, JoAnn, Diane, Sharon and Tammy.

Leona Charlotte Sakellaris 89, of Topeka, KS. passed away Monday September 7, 2020 in a Saint Joseph health center. 

She was born November 6, 1930 in Hamburg, Iowa daughter of the later Leona &amp; Charles Hildebrand. She graduated from Benton High School and was a homemaker. 

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Sakellaris, her parents, brothers, Jim and Charles W. Hildebrand Jr. 

She is survived by brother, John (Jerry Ann) Hildebrand of St. Joseph, MO. Several nieces and nephews. 

She will be cremated under care and direction of the Rupp Funeral Home.

M. Lynn Moore 80, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020 in a Saint Joseph, MO health care center. 

She was born August 29, 1940 in Gilman City, MO, daughter of the late Edna and Fred Endicott. She graduated from Gilman City High School, class of 1958. She worked as a private duty in home health caregiver, and most recently at the KCI airport in the security department. She enjoyed sewing, crochet, cooking, being a homemaker, mom, caretaker, and grandma to all, and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Eureka Valley Baptist Church. 

Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Doyle Moore, her parents, and two brothers, Bob and Richard Endicott. 

Survivors include: daughters, Melissa Kennedy and Debbie Moore, sons, Jeff Moore and James Moore Sr., &nbsp;five grandchildren: Megan (Tristan) Stickley, Jason (Amanda) Kennedy, Jonathon Kennedy, James Moore Jr., and Chriscenda (Timothy) Mozingo, 10 great grandchildren, and her sister, Mary Lee Ashford, Ft. Worth, TX.

Ken taught Auto Body and Collision Repair for USD 409 at the Northeast Kansas Area Vo-tech School, Atchison for over 29 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Lions Club, and served as a volunteer for the Shannon Township Fire Department. He served as Girl Scout Volunteer and Leader, enjoyed traveling, trout fishing, taking family on trips and helped many people with auto body repair out of his home.

Survivors include three sons; Kenneth E. Mann, Jr., Leavenworth, KS, Kevin E. Mann, Atchison, KS and Kristopher E. Mann, Leavenworth, KS, his life partner, Patty Housh, Atchison, KS, eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Julie Mann, Platte City, MO, one niece, one nephew, four great nieces and nephews and seven great-great nieces and nephews. His parents, and one brother, Howard R. Mann preceded him in death.

Don Walkup, 91, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020.

He was born April 19, 1929 to Donald and Lillian (Robertson) Walkup.

Don served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He married the love of his life, Betty Harder on September 30, 1956; she survives of the home.

Don retired from the insurance industry in 1990.

He was a member of Francis Street First United Methodist Church for 60 years and served on the Administrative Board and Trustee Board. Don belonged to Lodge #189, A.F. &amp; A.M., Thirty-Second Degree Scottish Rite Mason, High-Twelve Club #49 and a member of the Silver &amp; Gold Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ray Walkup and sister, Wanda Engel.

Don Walkup, 91, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020.He was born April 19, 1929 to Donald and Lillian (Robertson) Walkup.Don served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.He married the love of his life, Betty Harder on September 30, 1956; she survives of the home.Don retired from the insurance industry in 1990.He was a member of Francis Street First United Methodist Church for 60 years and served on the Administrative Board and Trustee Board. Jerry R. Wiedmaier, "J.W." to his friends passed away September 1, 2020, after a lengthy illness.&nbsp; He was born to Albert J. and Edna F. (Harmon) Wiedmaier on August 7, 1936.

After graduation from Christian Brothers High School he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force; becoming an aerial still photographer, stationed in Germany, New Mexico, and Nevada.&nbsp;

He then graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia, MO, with a Bachelors in Accounting and Business Administration.&nbsp; Jerry worked for the Office of the Inspector General and the USDA as a certified internal auditor.

Jerry owned and operated Wiedmaier Truck Stop Inc. for 45 years as well as four Goodyear Stores.

He enjoyed Sunday gatherings with friends at the truck stop, and at the Lake of the Ozarks and Palm Desert, California, as well as hunting and fun times at deer camp with friends and family.&nbsp; He was a contributor and avid participant in Mizzou Athletics for many years. GO TIGERS!!!!

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Albert and Robert (Bob); sister Betty Gerstner;&nbsp; and son Michael.

Survivors include his wife Marsha; son David; six grandchildren, Dustin, Dalton, Aubree, Brooke, Emily, and Ian; sister Susan Collings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Beatrice Lorene Miller, 101, Stewartsville, Missouri; returned to her heavenly home on September 5, 2020.&nbsp; Devotion to her family and firm belief in God supported her throughout her life and ultimately gave her peace.

Lorene was born to Ray and Nellie (Anderson) Good of Parnell, Missouri on March 17, 1919.&nbsp; The oldest of four girls, Lorene helped raise her sisters and was her daddy's helper on the farm.

In addition to homemaker and farmer's wife, Lorene worked at the Methodist Medical Center in St. Joseph for 10 years, and as a large animal veterinarian assistant, briefly ran a restaurant and likely wall-papered most of the houses in Union Star, Missouri.&nbsp; She loved her family, her flowers, gardening and Jesus Christ.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; sister, LaVeda Montgomery, husbands, Robert Hoskins, Claude W. Miller and Lee Lippincott; son, Ronald Miller daughter, Ramona Weiland and infant granddaughter, Debra Long.

Surivors daughter, Roberta Long, son, Richard Miller (Lori); sisters, LaFaye Newcomer (Leroy) and Loretta Smith (Harvey); eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and nineteen great-great grandchildren.

He was born February 1, 1946 to Farrell and Mary (Vandever) Wilson.

Tom graduated from Forest City High School in 1964. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam conflict, where he was a dog handler to his dog, Rinney from 1964-1970.

He retired after 18 years as a lieutenant with the Missouri Department of Corrections.

He was an avid golfer, loved trains and enjoyed watching the Chiefs and Royals. Tom was a member of Green Valley Baptist Church.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Bill and Barbara Killoren.

John Jerry Grom 78, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 in a Saint Joseph, MO hospital. 

He was born October 11, 1941 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Pearl and Joseph Grom. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School and the St. Joseph Junior College. He retired from AGP after 25 years of service. John enjoyed Baseball, softball, horseshoes, and fishing, and he attended St. Joseph's Cathedral Catholic Church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Karene Widener. 

Survivors include, wife, Karon Grom of the home, sons, John "Joe" (Kathi) Grom, and Jason Grom, Saint Joseph, MO, Charles Walters, Saint Joseph, MO, Brian (Shelley) Walters, Reeds Spring, MO, daughter, Sherry Gale Grom of Florida, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sisters, Terry Cunning, Judy Paden, of St. Joseph, and Shirley Berry of Coldbrook, NH.

John Jerry Grom 78, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 in a Saint Joseph, MO hospital. He was born October 11, 1941 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Pearl and Joseph Grom. He graduated from Christian Brothers High School and the St. Joseph Junior College. He retired from AGP after 25 years of service. John enjoyed Baseball, softball, horseshoes, and fishing, and he attended St. Joseph's Cathedral Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Karene Widener. Survivors include, wife, Karon Grom of the home, sons, John "Joe" (Kathi) Grom, and Jason Grom, Saint Joseph, MO, Charles Walters, Saint Joseph, MO, Brian (Shelley) Walters, Reeds Spring, MO, daughter, Sherry Gale Grom of Florida, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sisters, Terry Cunning, Judy Paden, of St. Joseph, and Shirley Berry of Coldbrook, NH. Nancy S. Goodwin, 60, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the Mosaic Hospital.&nbsp;

She was born June 17, 1960 to Lesley J. and Letha Shelton. &nbsp;

Nancy was a screen printer for 1st&nbsp;Street Graphics for 20 years before leaving due to illness.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.&nbsp;

Willard A. Potter, 85, of Wathena, KS passed away Monday August 31, 2020 at the Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Savannah, Missouri.&nbsp; Prior to his residence at Shady Lawn, Willard resided in Wathena on Saratoga Rd for 40 years.&nbsp;

Willard was born January 21, 1935 in Robinson, Kansas to Norman A. and Velma V. (Titus) Potter.&nbsp; He served in the U.S. Army and then worked as a welder for the Shamrock Company.&nbsp;

Dad loved the outdoors.&nbsp; He enjoyed Coon hunting, fishing and hill climbing.&nbsp; He also enjoyed training horses for people and watching his kids compete in horse competitions. Dad also loved tinkering in his shop along with keeping his yard in tip top shape.&nbsp; He will be greatly missed.&nbsp;

Willard was preceded in death by his parents, a son Kenny Potter, and sister, Norma Kirkpatrick.&nbsp;

He is survived by Daughter Therese (David) Field, Savanna, MO.&nbsp; Daughter Vickie (Chris) Abel, Shiocton, Wisconsin. Son: Stanley (Jeanine) Potter, Sulfur, Louisiana.&nbsp; He had 11 grandchildren that will greatly miss their Grandpa Potter. He also had 14 great grandchildren. Sisters Katherine Rice, Effingham, Kansas and Marylin (Gracie) Hansen, Lyndon, Kansas.&nbsp;

Willard's wishes were to be cremated, with no services.&nbsp;

Lowella A. Nold, 96, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 4, 2020.

She was born August 9, 1924 in Highland, Kansas to Lowell and Ida Springer. Lowella married Clarence “Buzz” Nold June of 1946. He preceded her in death January 28, 1999. She was a member of Clair United Methodist Church. Lowella worked for the SJSD at Bessie Ellison as a cook after raising her family. She was employed there for 23 years, helping to provide meals for students at the elementary school. She enjoyed bowling, word search puzzles, but, most of all, spending time with her family.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother; and 2 sisters.

Survivors include daughters, Patty Hartenbower (Scooter), Pam Schrick (Jim); grandchildren, Cory Schrick (Mandee), Kyle Schrick (Dani), Jamie House (Chris), Nicole Messick; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews
