Michele “Flaherty” Huff, age 57, died peacefully surrounded by family and friends at her home in Savannah, MO, on July 15, 2021.

Michele was born May 28, 1964 in Britt, Iowa to Larry Flaherty and Linda “Michelson” Barton. She graduated from Corwith-Wesley High School in Iowa in 1982 and from DMACC in Ankeny, Iowa with her associates degree in nursing. She later graduated from Missouri Western University in St Joseph, MO with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Michele was a devoted caregiver for her family and professionally devoted her life as a nurse for over 40 years. She was also an active member of the Savannah United Methodist Church.&nbsp; She was a bicycling and camping enthusiast and enjoyed traveling with her husband and family.

She married Douglas Huff on July, 20, 1985 in Wesley, Iowa. They had three children: Alyssa, Mallarie, and Collin. And more recently welcomed 4 grandchildren: Henry, Grace, Llewyn, and Leonard. Michele loved being known as “granny” to her grandkids, to whom she devoted endless love and care.

Michele was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Cathy “Helm” Flaherty.

Survivors include: husband Doug, children Alyssa Gibson (Tyler), Mallarie Schafer (Joe), and Collin Huff (Alyssa Bryan), mother Linda Barton (Bob), father Larry Flaherty, brother Michael Flaherty (John Chaplin), niece Brianna Flaherty (Chase Rohrbaugh), grandchildren Henry, Grace, Llewyn, and Leonard - as well as countless friends and extended family.&nbsp;

Michele will be cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel.

Kathy (Carr) McCauley, 66, of Kansas City, MO, died Thursday, July 15, 2021 at her home.&nbsp; Kathy was born July 24, 1954 in St. Joseph, MO, to Elmer and Rose (Conant) Carr, but lived in Agency, MO.

She was a stay at home mother and then worked as a Department Manager for Wal Mart; retiring in 2010 to spend more time with her grandchildren.

Kathy married Bo McCauley on September 21, 1972 at Cathedral of St. Joseph.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Bo; &nbsp;their children, Lisa McCauley, Joseph McCauley (Zanah) Amy LaFollette (Philip); eight grandchildren, Elly, Jimmy, Molly, Jenna, William, Rosie, Kaylee Lou, Elise; siblings Janice Geary (Rex), Susan Tietjens (Donnie) William Carr, Barbara Lauritzen (Chuck), Laura Engnell, Thomas Carr (Jennifer); sister-in-law Marilyn Carr; brother-in-law Gene Komer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Holly McCauley, &nbsp;Les McCauley, Dennis Jobes,&nbsp; Bonnie and Buck Buglewicz, Sandy and Danny O'Donnell, Cheryl and Jay White, Scott and Tara McCauley; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Kathy was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Liberty.&nbsp; She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.&nbsp; She was a great cook, loved to garden, flowers and watching birds.&nbsp; She &nbsp;loved to travel, and loved her family.&nbsp; She especially enjoyed taking trips with her grandchildren, and her trips "across the pond" to Europe with her sisters.&nbsp;

Rick Eldon Dorrel, 67,&nbsp;&nbsp;died unexpectedly while working for Todd &amp; Sargent in Canada. Rick was born October 2, 1953, to Eldon and Doris Dorrel, of Bolckow, MO.

He graduated from North Andrew High School in 1971.

&nbsp;Rick married Paula Rosenbaum November 15, 1975. They raised three daughters.

&nbsp;Rick was a great husband and father who always made time for his family. He was loved for his sarcastic&nbsp;smart@$$ sense of humor and billiards skills. He worked at Varco Pruden in St. Joseph for 16 years.&nbsp;

Cheryl Ann Moutray, 72, El Paso, Texas, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away July 14, 2021.

On October 6, 1948 she was born to Charles, Jr. and Elsie (Pope) Moutray in St. Joseph, Missouri.

She was a hard worker. Cheryl was a hairdresser for over 25 years, went to college at Missouri Western State University, then worked for the State of Missouri, later retiring as a Director of Recreational Therapy at Fort Bayrad, New Mexico.

Cheryl enjoyed horses, gardening and sports. She was a fan of the KC Chiefs and the Green Bay Packers.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jack was a member of the Local Steel Workers Union 1290 and retired from the union. Jack worked hard all his life providing for his family whom he loved. Jack was an avid raccoon hunter and enjoyed fishing, especially hand fishing. Jack was married to Glenda “Sue-Bee” Trumble and they later divorced. Jack and Lisa Navinskey were married on Oct. 10, 1985. Survivors include Jack’s wife of 35 years, Lisa; children, Jackie (Amber) Hill, Jr., Springfield, MO, Jessica (Ricardo) Rivera, Springfield, MO, James ‘J. James W. Stegall II, 54, of Saint Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday July 10, 2021 in a Saint Joseph health care center. 

He was born November 3, 1966 in St. Joseph, Missouri, Jim married Mary Stegall on April 6, 2013, and she survives of the home. He worked as a auto body repairman, and enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. 

Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Wesley Stegall. 

Survivors include: wife, Mary Stegall of the home, mother, Connie Peterson, St. Joseph, sons, Shane Stegall , Jim W. Stegall III, and Alec Parks, step son, Troy Knaebel, step daughter, Eliane Knabel, 6 grandchildren, and two sisters, Lynette Shanks, and Lisa Dalsing.

James Wesley Stegall II  1966 - 2021

Ronald D. Sharp, 78, Cameron, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021.

He was born January 2, 1943 in Trenton, Missouri, to Glen and Melvina (McWaid) Sharp. He was raised on a farm between Galt and Spickard, Missouri.

Ronald attended Trenton Junior College and Northeast Missouri State Teachers College.

He married Gloria Johnston on April 17, 1964. She survives of the home. Ronald’s favorite part of his career was being the owner of a custom motorcycle business in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he built some of the first trikes. He and Gloria traveled all over the United State on motorcycles, logging at least 50,000 miles. He supported many biker organizations’ charities.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson.

Survivors include his wife; children, Terry, Barry, Karri, and Joanna Sharp; sister, M. Ruth Sharp; grandchildren, Adaira, Jessica, Zachary, Brad, Shelby, Tavyn and Rien; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was raised on a farm between Galt and Spickard, Missouri. Ronald attended Trenton Junior College and Northeast Missouri State Teachers College. He married Gloria Johnston on April 17, 1964. She survives of the home. Ronald’s favorite part of his career was being the owner of a custom motorcycle business in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he built some of the first trikes. He and Gloria traveled all over the United State on motorcycles, logging at least 50,000 miles. He supported many biker organizations’ charities. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson. Survivors include his wife; children, Terry, Barry, Karri, and Joanna Sharp; sister, M. Ruth Sharp; grandchildren, Adaira, Jessica, Zachary, Brad, Shelby, Tavyn and Rien; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mona Parsons, 65, of Rushville, MO, passed away on July 12, 2021.&nbsp; Mona was born August 20, 1955 in Council Grove, KS, to Philip and Delma (McDowell) Metcalfe.

She was a 1975 graduate of Atchison High School, and was Supervisor of Janitorial Services and mail clerk at Bradken of Atchison.

Mona married Mark Parsons on February 15, 1975, and he survives.&nbsp; Also surviving are their children, Michael Parsons (Michelle), Bridget Snodgrass (Aaron), Brandi Owens (Bobby); seven grandchildren, Dalton Parsons (Mikayla), Nichole Weigel (Brandon), Ashley Schuetz, Duncan Owens, Cassandra Schuetz, Morgan Parsons, Kasey Parsons; great-granddaughter Blake Parsons; her mother Delma McDowell; &nbsp;two brothers Edward Metcalfe, Edwin Metcalfe; two sisters, Grace Barker, Janice Weishaar (Jay); other relatives and a host of friends.

Mona is preceded in death by her father Philip Metcalfe and sister Barb Crouse.

&nbsp;She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.&nbsp; Above all, &nbsp;Faith and Family were her heart.&nbsp; She loved Jesus, worshiping him and spreading his word through discipleship.&nbsp; Mona had an undying and &nbsp;unwavering faith, was a Born-Again Christian, and was of the Baptist Faith.&nbsp; She&nbsp; loved gardening, watching her hummingbirds, traveling, beach time, and spending time with family and friends.

William John Lewis (Jack) passed away July 11, 2021.

Jack served in the Air Force for 20 years.&nbsp; After retiring he continued in the Air Force reserve and as an insurance adjuster.&nbsp; He was a member of Renew Church and loved the Lord dearly.

Lewis; children Doug (Bev) Lewis of Palm Bay, FL, David (Trish) Lewis of Lincoln, NE, Peggy (Stan) Nydahl-Praisewater of Vancouver, WA, and Becky (Mark) Crook of Knoxville, TN; stepchildren Gary Foutch of Bellevue, NE, Pamela Sacca of St. Joseph, MO, Carol (David) Bracken of St. Joseph, MO; sister Jean (John) Biggs and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

John A. Gondring, 78, passed away on July 11, 2021 surrounded by family after living with Parkinson’s Disease for twenty years. 

Born in St. Joseph, MO, he was preceded in death by his parents, William H. Gondring, Jr. and Wilamina Ostwald Gondring. 

Survivors include wife, Maggie; daughter, Katy (Mark); son, Jack (Sarah); grandson, Benjamin; brothers, William H. Gondring, III, M.D. (Phyllis), and Robert P. Gondring (Charlene); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Following graduation from Park College, John entered the U.S. Navy. He served on active duty in Vietnam and then in the reserves for another 24 years, retiring as Captain in 1991. After earning his MBA at the University of Missouri-Columbia, John met his wife, Maggie, in St. Louis, MO, then moved to Omaha, NE, in 1975 to found Midland Scientific. John and Maggie married in 1976 and raised their children as members of the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church. In his retirement, John didn’t let Parkinson’s Disease define him. He continued an active and outgoing lifestyle of sailing, iceboating, playing tennis, gardening, volunteering at the VA with his dog Belle, participating as a member of the Big Red Sub Club, advocating on behalf of people with Parkinson’s, traveling and socializing with friends and family.

She was born January 21, 1941 in St. Joseph, daughter of Dora (Jacks) and Arvey Meade. She attended Benton High School. On December 5, 1964, she married Ronald McKinney in St. Joseph. Her hobbies included crafting, bird watching, and spending time with her family. She was also an avid fisherwoman, often out-fishing her husband, Ron and was a member of the Bass'n Gal's Fishing Club. 

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Gary and Darrel Meade, sister, Karen Marrott. 

Survivors include, husband, Ronald McKinney of the home, daughter, Rhonda (Mike) Adams of Easton, KS and a brother, Terry Meade.

He was a master wood worker and enjoyed hiking, fishing and the great outdoors. He will be lovingly remembered as a simple, brave, strong man.

She was born July 9, 1942 in Atchison, Kansas to Charles and Martha (Moppin) Mershon.

Charlotte enjoyed sewing, reading and crocheting. She collected porcelain dolls and red birds.

Preceding her in death are her parents; and infant sister, Marie.

Charlotte Roberts, 79, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021. She was born July 9, 1942 in Atchison, Kansas to Charles and Martha (Moppin) Mershon. Charlotte enjoyed sewing, reading and crocheting. She collected porcelain dolls and red birds. Preceding her in death are her parents; and infant sister, Marie. Linda Lou Simpson 66, of St Joseph, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at a St. Joseph health care facility.&nbsp; 

She was born May 29, 1954 in Benton Harbor, MI, daughter of the late Betty and Clarence Simpson. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School. Linda had worked at Drury Inn as a Housekeeping Supervisor. She loved the KC Chiefs, playing Bingo, and watching game shows. She also enjoyed staying active volunteering within the community. She was named Miss Chateau 2018 at Diversicare Chateau. Linda was also an active member at Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church. 

Preceding her in death are her parents, granddaughter, Jaybri, nephew, Shawn Fuller, and niece, Pam Ishmael. 

Survivors include: children, Chris Ishmael of St. Joseph, Kevin Ishmael of Indiana, and Stephanie Ishmael of St. Joseph, step-daughter, Jennifer Brown of Texas, brothers, Roger and Steve Simpson, grandchildren, Miranda, Mariah, Kenzie, Malayna, Jathynn, and Kaydrielle.

&nbsp;Ms. Simpson has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home. Memorial Services: 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 14th at the Rupp Funeral Home, Pastor Scott Gilbert officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, July 13th at the Rupp Funeral Home.&nbsp;

He was born January 23, 1982 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Floyd Milbourn and Valarie Fetty.

Matthew enjoyed riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers, taking care of his mother, but most of all spending time with his mother, siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Matthew was preceded in death by father; maternal and paternal grandparents.

Lloyd Ray Martin, 79, of Atchison, KS died July 7, 2021, at Amberwell Hospital in Atchison. A memorial service will be held 1:00pm, Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Ziegler officiating. Ray was born September 8, 1941, in Shelbina, MO to Nathan and Hallie (Poore) Martin. He and Linda Thomas were united in marriage on Oct. 8, 1968. He was a fan of the Las Vegas Raiders and family has requested that those attending can wear Raiders apparel. Ray enjoyed and participated in many tractor pulls. He also enjoyed music and played drums in many bands over the years. Ray is survived by his wife Linda; son, Willam Martin, Reno, NV; daughters, Rebecca Martin, Las Vegas, NV; Dana Martin Flowers, Gardner, KS; Tracy (Brian) Kane, Atchison, KS, and Amber (Brian) Lee of Cummings, KS. Denny Ray Bonar, 43, of St. Joseph, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 in St Joseph. 

He was born September 30, 1977 in St. Joseph, son of Sharon Blizzard and George "Denny" Bonar. He attended Lafayette High School. Denny loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed cars and his music. 

Denny was preceded in death by mother, Sharon Blizzard and aunt, Tammy Dumm.

Terry Joseph Jimenez 66, of Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 on St. Joseph's Day, at a Joplin, Missouri hospital. 

He was born November 5, 1953 in St. Joseph, MO, son of the late Dorothy and Jose Jimenez. He graduated from Benton High School and Missouri Western State University. He worked for the City of St. Joseph as a Civil Engineer, reviewing and drafting blueprints and coding. He was an accomplished artist, and enjoyed painting, sketching, and drawing, He also enjoyed music and cooking. Terry was a Catholic. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Johnny Jimenez. 

Survivors include: sisters, Brenda (Douglas) Henderson, Mentone, CA., and Debora Jimenez, Saint Joseph, MO, and a brother, Mark Jimenez of St. Joseph, MO, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A family funeral service were held 4pm Saturday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Stanley Paul Mejia, 69, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021.

He was born April 24, 1952 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Rudy John Mejia, Sr. and Henrietta (Parker) Mejia.

Stanley was a 1970 graduate of Lafayette High School and earned his degree from Missouri Western State College.

He married Barbara Logan in December 1974. She survives of the home.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Amy Mejia; brother, Rudy John Mejia, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Gwynnie Mejia.

She was born September 2, 1949 in Bethany, Missouri to Harold John and Betty Louise (Davis) Hook.

Jackie married Edward Allen Granville on March 9, 1974. He survives of the home.

She worked for many years as an agent for Green Hills and R.L. Nichols insurance companies.
