Tracy DeVee Warner, 56, Saint Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

She was born on June 21, 1968, to Dean and Carole Warner, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Those who knew Tracy will fondly remember her infectious laughter and the vibrant energy she brought to every room. Her love for comedy, music, and the thrill of diamond art were outshone only by the adoration she had for her family.

A shining example of humor and love. Tracy's ability to light up a room will be profoundly missed. Her legacy of joy and laughter will be cherished and kept alive through the memories of those who loved her.

Survivors include her daughters, Nicole Warner and Rickelle Warner; grandchildren, Na’Leila, Quan and Reize; great-granddaughter Na’Ziyah; extended family and friends.

Ruth Young, 91, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

She was born August 7, 1933 in Dora, Missouri to Fred and Lola (Shipley) Ingram.

Ruth married James Maxwell Young in January 1951. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2015.

Ruth enjoyed traveling. She and Jim spent much of the summer months at Lake of the Ozarks, where they owned property. Each summer they would travel for three weeks visiting National Parks, monuments, places of interest, and Jim’s brother, John Young, in Long Beach, California. They also visited Hawaii for their 25th wedding anniversary. Ruth and eight of her high school friends took trips together every summer. They took twenty-two trips together traveling to favorite sites including Canada and Hawaii. She also traveled with her church group to Venezuela.

In addition to traveling, Ruth collected antiques and jewelry. She also was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Association.

Ruth had many close and devoted friends whom she loved dearly.

She loved working with two of her favorite doctors, Dr. Dan Smith and Dr. Doug Stokes of the St. Joseph Orthopedic Clinic.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James Maxwell Young; her adored daughter, Rene Roth; her parents, Fred and Lola Ingram; sisters, Jean (Lloyd) Thompson and Bernadine (Kenneth) Thompson; and son-in-law, Thomas Nelson.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Taira Nelson; grandchildren, Blake Roth (Julie), who was extremely attentive and helpful, and Taira Roth; great-grandchildren, Alaina, George, Harper, and Fynn Roth; and James Roth; and nieces, Brenda Finnegan (Bill), Marilyn McQuinn (Dale), Jennifer Ward (Gary), and Karen Yoakum (Bill). Her three kitties, Tucker, Cowboy, and Blueberry brought her much joy.

Ruth Young 1933-2025

James “Jim” Fielding Dale, Jr., 82, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at a local health care facility. Jim was born on May 2, 1942, to James Fielding Dale, Sr., and Margaret (Wyeth) Dale. He moved with his parents to St. Joseph from Maryville, MO, in 1947. After attending Western Reserve Military Academy in Alton, Illinois, Jim graduated from Central High School in 1961, later earning a B.A. degree from Parsons College, Fairfield, IA, in 1966. Jim’s first job out of college was at the former Wyeth Company, his grandfather John Wyeth’s wholesale hardware business. Later Jim was employed at the former Dugdale Packing Company of St. Joseph, a supplier of premium beef for many years. Jim at first hauled beef sides on the kill floor, but gradually worked up to the position of assistant purchasing agent.

His employment was interrupted by the Vietnam War. Jim volunteered in the U.S. Marine Corps, first training at Camp Pendleton, CA. Jim served in Third Company, Third Battalion, Third Marines but later contracted nearly-fatal malaria during his 14-month tour of combat duty. He received the Presidential Unit Citation, The National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, and The Rifle Marksman Badge. He was honorably discharged in 1971 with the rank of sergeant.

Jim continued to work at Dugdale’s until the plant closed in the mid-1970’s. Afterwards, he found a supervisory position at Carnation Pet Food in St. Joseph for two years. Later, he purchased Charles Chips, a distributorship of quality snack food that made Jim (aka “Charlie Chips”) a household and office word all over town for eight years. After selling the Charles Chips distributorship, Jim went to work at his final, favorite job with Hall Title and Abstract (later First American Title and Abstract) owned by his high school friend Steve Crawford.

Throughout his life Jim enjoyed athletics. He played varsity football at Central High School, then later in life ran in several city triathlons. He also competed in “Biking Across America” rides across four states: Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri, on some treks accompanied by his friend from childhood, Beverly Pitts.

He married Roxanne Decker on August 15, 1970, in Scottsdale, Arizona. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brothers Thomas Lee Dale, John Wyeth Dale, and a first cousin, Natalie Bradley Ray.

Survivors include his sisters Leila Dale Hicks and Shirley Dale Lawrence, nephews James Dale Lawrence of Kansas City, MO, Phillip Lawrence of Woodbury, MN, Scott Lawrence of Tokyo, Japan, Thomas Dale of Naples, Florida, Alicia Dale Halpin of Glen Carbon, IL, and Elliot Hicks, of St. Joseph. Additional survivors include numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Kelly was born on 1/7/61 in Leavenworth, KS, to Marilyn and Bill Vance, who predeceased him. He leaves behind daughter LeAnn, son Christopher (Brian Laning), brother Mark, sister and devoted caregiver Michelle Vance Taylor, and many other relatives and friends.

Kelly graduated from Leavenworth HS in 1979 and the University of Saint Mary in 1992. He was a master painter and wallpaper and made many areas beautiful with his work. He was a Royals and Chiefs fanatic, and a theatre enthusiast. His passion for performing would bring many good people into his life, as he shared his talents acting and directing in community, grade, high school, &amp; college programs in Kansas and Wisconsin.

A service will be planned at a later date.

Danny Lee Masoner passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025 in his home in Weston, Missouri. At the time of his passing he was 68 years old.

Danny was born in Fort Hood, Texas and raised in Weston, Missouri. He graduated from West Platte High School in 1974. Danny married Cindy (Large) July 12th 1975, after dating since 1971. Together they have three children, Randy Masoner (wife Leigh Anne), Danette Shepardson (husband Anthony), Lani Barnes (husband Josh), 10 grandchildren: Brett Shepardson (26), Hailey Shepardson (21), Colby Shepardson (19), Xane Masoner (18), Blaze Masoner (16), Layn Kear (15), Avery Masoner (12), Asher Masoner (newborn), Jordy Barnes (6), Charli Barnes (3), and one great-grandchild Maisie Shepardson (2) plus a second on the way.

Danny is survived by his wife Cindy, three children Randy, Danette, and Lani, his 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, his sister Brenda Bless, and nephews Bill Masoner and Brandon Masoner. He is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Ruth Masoner, and his brothers Timmy and Mike Masoner.

Besides his family, Danny loved chocolate, a good steak, mowing grass, a good murder-mystery show, his Missouri Tigers and socializing at various sporting events of kids and grandkids. He was also very proud and loved to coach his kids in any sport they were participating in. He was a caring person, always willing to help, going above and beyond for others. People in his community of Weston knew they could count on him when needed. He was a father-figure to many. For 49 years, Danny worked at the Weston Water Treatment Plant. Even after retirement, Danny’s expertise was used in a part-time role at the Water Plant. Danny was always proud of the quality of water for the Weston community. Danny and Cindy’s homes were always full with family and friends, especially for Sunday dinners where a meal would feed any that wanted to join. Danny will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and members of the Weston community.

His profession was truck driving / heavy equipment operator with over 27 years with Frederick Excavating. He also had a passion for music, with live performances with his bands and with the professional recordings he made.

He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife, Bonnie Wright of the home, three sons and three step sons, and numerous grandchildren. 

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11 AM on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Mt Bethel Cemetery in Weston, Mo.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Don "Bobby" Wright 1952-2025

Tammy Parks Barnett took her final breath on Earth and took her first steps in Paradise on February 18th, 2025. She was surrounded by the people she loved and cared for most. Tammy was 59 years young.

Tammy was born on June 4th, 1965, to Charlie and Shirley Parks. Tammy adored her parents and frequently sought advice and guidance as she was growing up. Tammy was blessed to grow up with the two best brothers; Charles Lee and Brian Keith. Tammy had a wonderful childhood being brought up in such a close and loving family. She was constantly around her Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. The bond they shared was one of a kind and Tammy was truly blessed because she was able to make the very best memories with them that she held on to. Tammy graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1983.

Tammy would tell you that her life really began when she became a Mother and gave birth to the first love of her life, Cody. A few years later, Tammy gave birth to her “Mini Me”, Hannah. 9 years later, she welcome two precious and strong boys; Dillon and Dakota. Her love for her children was undeniable, through the hard times and the best times. Tammy knew what she was put on this Earth for, and that was to be called Mom. Whether it was toting her twin boys around to Cody and Hannahs athletics, always running a kid to this practice or this game or this event, Tammy was there… for everything. Tammy will always cherish her children.

As time would pass, she gained another purpose in life; becoming NANA. Being a NANA was the absolute best. Although she enjoyed raising her own children, she greatly enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and then sending them back home. Tammy shined when she received this title. She always said, “The love you have for your own children will never compare to the love you have for your Grandchildren!” Raife and Aubriegh brought back a sparkle in her life when she so desperately needed it.

Tammy really never knew her life was not complete until she met Darrin. Her Kowboy. Darrin filled a void that her children and grandchildren couldn’t even fill. He wasn’t her Knight in shining armour, he was her Kowboy wearing spurs. Along with Kowboy, came his children; Kaylee, Kolby and Kagen. Tammy loved and treated them like her own. Now her family was complete and she married Darrin on October 10, 2020, when they joined two families to make one.

If you knew Tammy, you knew love. You knew nothing but laughter and her beautiful, contagious smile. Her smile could make anyone’s darkest days, brighter. The love she had for her family was something remarkable.

When Tammy and Hannah were sitting through multiple chemo treatments, Hannah would often ask her about some of her favorite memories. She would always tell stories of her childhood and how she had the absolute best brothers. She would tell stories of all of her time spent with her

cousins on the Brown and Parks side. She cherished those memories. She would continuously talk about how raising her children wasn’t ever easy, but it was so easy loving them. Tammy reflected on being such a major part of Raife and Aubrieghs lives and how she has enjoyed watching them both become young men and women. She loved capturing life’s moments through her lens. Taking pictures was her passion and she never once let cancer get in her way of that. She enjoyed listening to Dakota play music and often times would ask him to sing to her. Tammy said that her most favorite memory as a mother was helping her only daughter, Hannah, plan her wedding and being a part of every aspect and every detail. She said watching her beautiful daughter walk down the aisle to marry the love of her life, Ryan, will always hold a feeling in her heart that will never diminish.

Tammy was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Earl and Nadine Parks, maternal grandparents George and Helen Brown, grandson Jaxon.

Tammy is survived by her loving parents Charlie and Shirley and brothers Charles Lee and wife Shelly and Brian Keith and wife Jennifer. Tammy is survived of the home by her incredibly faithful, devout and adoring husband Darrin and fur babies, Roper, Roughy and Rein. Tammy leaves behind her most cherished possessions, her children; her handsome son Cody and wife Autumn, her beautiful daughter Hannah and husband Ryan and her precious twin boys Dillon and Dakota and his partner Haven; her step children Kaylee, Kolby and wife Stephanie, Kagen and his partner Courtney. Tammy will continue to watch over her grandchildren Raife and Aubriegh, Bryar and Landon and step grandchildren Blake, Cayden, Easton, Emmalyn, Creighton, Knox and Whitley who is arriving in June. She leaves a niece Allysson and several nephews; Chase, Tyler, Drew and Blake, 8 great nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23rd at Frazier Baptist Church 13601 SE State Route E, Agency, MO 64401. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 24th at Frazier Baptist Church.

Although she enjoyed raising her own children, she greatly enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and then sending them back home. Tammy shined when she received this title. She always said, “The love you have for your own children will never compare to the love you have for your Grandchildren!” Raife and Aubriegh brought back a sparkle in her life when she so desperately needed it.Tammy really never knew her life was not complete until she met Darrin. Her Kowboy. Darrin filled a void that her children and grandchildren couldn’t even fill. He wasn’t her Knight in shining armour, he was her Kowboy wearing spurs. Along with Kowboy, came his children; Kaylee, Kolby and Kagen. Tammy loved and treated them like her own. Now her family was complete and she married Darrin on October 10, 2020, when they joined two families to make one.If you knew Tammy, you knew love. You knew nothing but laughter and her beautiful, contagious smile. Her smile could make anyone’s darkest days, brighter. The love she had for her family was something remarkable.When Tammy and Hannah were sitting through multiple chemo treatments, Hannah would often ask her about some of her favorite memories. She would always tell stories of her childhood and how she had the absolute best brothers. She would tell stories of all of her time spent with hercousins on the Brown and Parks side. She cherished those memories. She would continuously talk about how raising her children wasn’t ever easy, but it was so easy loving them. Tammy reflected on being such a major part of Raife and Aubrieghs lives and how she has enjoyed watching them both become young men and women. She loved capturing life’s moments through her lens. Taking pictures was her passion and she never once let cancer get in her way of that. She enjoyed listening to Dakota play music and often times would ask him to sing to her. Tammy said that her most favorite memory as a mother was helping her only daughter, Hannah, plan her wedding and being a part of every aspect and every detail. She said watching her beautiful daughter walk down the aisle to marry the love of her life, Ryan, will always hold a feeling in her heart that will never diminish.Tammy was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Earl and Nadine Parks, maternal grandparents George and Helen Brown, grandson Jaxon.Tammy is survived by her loving parents Charlie and Shirley and brothers Charles Lee and wife Shelly and Brian Keith and wife Jennifer. Tammy is survived of the home by her incredibly faithful, devout and adoring husband Darrin and fur babies, Roper, Roughy and Rein. Tammy leaves behind her most cherished possessions, her children; her handsome son Cody and wife Autumn, her beautiful daughter Hannah and husband Ryan and her precious twin boys Dillon and Dakota and his partner Haven; her step children Kaylee, Kolby and wife Stephanie, Kagen and his partner Courtney. Tammy will continue to watch over her grandchildren Raife and Aubriegh, Bryar and Landon and step grandchildren Blake, Cayden, Easton, Emmalyn, Creighton, Knox and Whitley who is arriving in June. Marilyn Grand Pre 1948-2025

George Andrew Kelley, Sr., 82, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, with his beloved wife, Rita, by his side. Born in Atchison, Kansas, to Mary Cluke and Guy Kelley, Sr., George was a man of faith, family, and service.

He attended Lincoln School and graduated from Atchison High School before continuing his education at Highland Community College, where he was a talented multi-sport athlete, excelling in basketball, football, and track. His athletic journey continued at St. Benedict College, where he played basketball prior to his military service.

On March 2, 1965, George was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served honorably as a radio operator until his discharge on June 30, 1967. His time in the military took him across Germany, where he played semi-professional basketball. He continued his service in the Army Reserves until 1970.

On February 21, 1970, George married the love of his life, Rita Irene Boldridge, at Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church. Together, they built a life filled with love, music, and adventure.

George’s career path led him to work at LFM while serving in the Army Reserves. In 1971, he transitioned to Pillsbury, where he worked until 1987, before spending 17 years at MGP Ingredients, retiring on June 30, 2004.

A gifted musician, George loved singing and playing the guitar with his family, especially alongside his brother, Dude Kelley. He wrote and arranged many family songs, filling their home with music and joy. He and Rita shared a love for horses, participating in horse shows and parades with the Boldridge Family Riders. A self-proclaimed "city boy with a country heart," he enjoyed camping, fishing, and trading with local traders, particularly relishing his part-time work at the Salvation Army, where he had first dibs on the best bargains.

George’s hands were never idle—he built everything from trailers and go-karts to sheds and clubhouses. His vivid storytelling captivated those around him, often illustrating his tales with hand-drawn pictures. A man of deep faith, he was a dedicated member of Shiloh Baptist Church, serving as a choir member, Sunday School teacher, and superintendent of Sunday School.

Above all, George cherished his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Rita Kelley of Atchison, KS; his children, George A. (Charo) Kelley, Jr. of Atchison, KS, Lori A. (Allie) Kelley of Atchison, KS, and Danelle G. (Timothy) Wolfe of Tulsa, OK; his brother, Otha H. "Dude" (Anna) Kelley of Atchison, KS; his sister, Viola V. (Oddis) Lewis of Detroit, MI; six beloved grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by five brothers: Guy (Wynona) Kelley, Jr., James (Loretta) Kelley, Marion (Cheryl) Kelley, William Kelley, and Michael McNair; and four sisters: Sylvia (Frank) Busey, Ethel (Clifford) Downing, Loretta (Richard) Downing, and Eleanor (Elmo) Garlington.

George’s legacy of faith, love, music, and storytelling will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His was a life well-lived, and he will be deeply missed.

Services will be Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Kelley officiating. &nbsp;Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. &nbsp;Visitation with the family will be from Noon until time of services at Shiloh Baptist Church.

Jo Ann was born on December 7, 1937, in the family home at Sugar Lake, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and Irene (Brown) Black. Jo Ann married Carl E. Dotson on March 5, 1955, he preceded her in death on October 9, 2011. Jo Ann was an avid reader throughout life, she also enjoyed her antiques, doing crossword puzzles, sitting on her deck swing, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Alan Wayne Ellerman, 62, of Old Huron, Kansas died Feb. 16, 2025, at Mosaic Life Care surrounded by family and friends.

Alan was born on July 7, 1962, in Winchester, Kansas, the son of Albert (LeRoy) and Sally (Kloepper) Ellerman. He attended Atchison County Community High School and Northeast Kansas Area Vo-Technical School graduating in 1980. Two days after graduation, he started working for Atchison County Road and Bridge for thirty-four years before retiring to be a full-time cattleman and farmer. He was a quiet, but active member of the Atchison County Fair Horse Show Committee, NEKSAG, and Huron Saddle Club. He was a lifetime member of the AQHA and supporter of Atchison County 4-H. Alan was passionate about his livestock, taking pride in breaking horses, good dogs, and tending cattle. He also enjoyed hunting, shooting, and fishing when time allowed. Above all his family was his greatest joy.

He married Margo Schecher on July 30, 1988, and she survives at home. Additional survivors include his daughter, Tara Jo (Aaron) Bina, granddaughters, Margaret Kay and Ainsley Jo Bina, parents, LeRoy and Sally Ellerman, brother, Ray (Mary) Ellerman and sister Julie (Dirk) Jamvold, as well as several nieces and nephews and many friends considered family.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, with Pastor Seth Montgomery officiating. A visitation with the family will be held 6-8PM, Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the funeral home.

Peggy was born May 9, 1937, in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Charles and Helen (Pickerel) Betts. She worked for Saunders Mop Factory for over twenty years. Peggy was of the Catholic faith and a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, they filled her with great joy. Peggy also liked old movies, music and helping people when she could.

Peggy is survived by three daughters, Janet and Bill Franken, Wathena, KS, Debra Miller, Leavenworth, KS, Cathy and Les Shufflebarger, Atchison, KS, a son Thomas Junk, Chesterbrook, PA, two sisters, Sally Brady, and Judy Hayes, nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Terry Junk, six brothers, Walter, Lloyd, Robert, William, Jim and Mike Betts, three sisters, Juanita Betts, Rita Reiff and Lisa Piper and a grandson.

Linda was born on January 30, 1949, in Maryville, MO to Harold Walter &amp; Clara May (Oliver) Martin. Linda attended school in Savannah and graduated with the class of 1967. &nbsp;She was united in Holy Matrimony to Thomas (Tommy) Ray George on May 6, 1967, at the First Christian Church in Atchison, KS. Their nearly 58-year union was blessed with two children, Melinda Sue and Timothy Martin, three grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. &nbsp;Linda’s family was her most cherished possession. &nbsp;She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and care giver to many family members and friends. &nbsp;

Linda’s love for flowers lead her to buy her own Flower Shop – Linda’s Flowers and Gifts – that she lovingly ran for over 5 years, after working there for several years prior. &nbsp;Her love for flowers continued for the remainder of her life. &nbsp;If you ever drove by and saw Tommy and Linda sitting out on their front porch or down by the pond, they were always surrounded by her beautiful flowers.

Linda had a caregiver’s heart as evidenced by all the family members she took care of and then later when the grandchildren started to arrive. No one could make Linda smile more than when she had the grandchildren sitting on her chair with her. &nbsp;There was always room on Grandma/Grammy’s lap, no matter how big they got. &nbsp;

Linda is survived by her husband, Tommy, of the home; daughter, Melinda (Kyle) Morrison and Son, Tim (Angie) George both of Savannah, MO; grandchildren, Cody (Tasha Rose) Morrison, Caleb Morrison, and Berkley George; great-grandchildren, Harley Morrison and Maverick Krueger as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and close friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Clara; and her Sisters, Nancy Preston and Donna Smith.

Cynthia Lynn Hendrix 64, of St. Joseph, Missouri, &nbsp;passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025 in Kansas City, MO. She was born August 25, 1960 in St. Joseph, daughter of Betty Dryden and Dustin Short. She attended Belton High School. She married Brad on February 7, 1999. Cynthia mainly worked with Brad on construction projects, along with many other things. She enjoyed fishing, camping, horse back riding, and just being outdoors with nature. She loved her family, they were her pride and joy through all the good and bad times, and she was a member of &nbsp;Grace Calvary Chapel.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother, and brother, Billy Dryden. John was born on February 1st, 1969 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Harry and Paula (Henderson) Brissett. John grew up in St. Joseph - graduating from Central High School, before attending Hillyard Technical School.

John was most recently employed by the DeKalb School District as a school bus driver for 9 years. He greatly enjoyed this role. He also had previously coached baseball. &nbsp;

John is survived by his wife, Brownyn (Metherly), father, Harry Brissett, 3 children: Tyler Brissett, Nicole Petty, and Kaily Brissett, and numerous grandchildren. Additionally John is also survived by brothers Michael Brissett and AJ Brissett. He was preceded in death by his mother, Paula Brissett.

He was born on February 12, 1960 to Dallas Sr. and Verlea (Widener) Kretzer in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Dallas married Diane King on February 14.

A proud graduate of Lafayette High School, Junior distinguished himself early on as a dedicated student, consistently achieving straight A's and setting a foundation of excellence that would follow him throughout his life.

Junior dedicated many years of hard work to Compton's Trash Service, where his commitment and work ethic were well known and respected. Junior was a devout member of New Home Baptist Church, where he found spiritual fulfillment and a sense of community.

Junior was known for his unwavering support of the Kansas City Chiefs, often found wearing the team's colors and cheering loudly on game days. His service in the ROTC reflected his strong sense of duty and passion for mentorship. Those who knew Junior will also remember his delight in cooking.

Above all, Junior's love for his dachshunds was legendary. He found unparalleled joy in the companionship of his beloved pets.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Pam Stewart, Mary Vaughn, and Sherry Coon.

His gentle nature and quiet spirit will be truly missed by his wife, Diane; siblings, Kristy Smith (Bob), Rita Wardlow (Lindsey), Billie Willenborg, Barb Kretzer, Connie Whetzell, Michael Kretzer (Sherri), Curtis Kretzer (Tammy), a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished every moment spent with him.

Yolanda E. Peregrine, 69, St. Joseph, Missouri, departed from us Thursday, February 13, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born October 14, 1955 in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico to Sabino Elias Herrera Romero and Yolanda Evangelina Vargas de Navarro.

Yolanda married Lee Peregrine on March 3, 2006. He survives of the home.

Besides loving time with her family, Yolanda enjoyed Coca-Cola, red roses, and watching movies. She was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and loved playing volleyball. She had a passion for staying active and exercising. She lived life to the fullest. Yolanda touched many people’s lives with her infectious smile and sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Yolanda, father, Sabino, brothers Pepe and Cesar, and grandson, Roman Sanchez.

She is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her Husband of 19 years, Lee Peregrine; Children: Paul Sanchez, Michelle Gann, Javier Aranda, Johanna Kline &amp; Lucely McClellan; Sons and Daughter-in-Laws: Shane Kline, Jimmy McClellan &amp; Genesis Macias Aranda; Fifteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Robert “Bob” Kelton Kelly passed away peacefully to enter Heaven’s gate at the age of 89 on October 6, 2024 while at home with family members by his side.&nbsp;It was an early&nbsp;Sunday morning, which was Dad’s favorite time of day when he would prepare to preach the Gospel of Jesus.

Bob was born December 29, 1934 to Roy McKinley Kelly and Fern&nbsp;Elizabeth Chatham Kelly in Sefton Township north of Brownstown, Illinois. Bob’s early life was spent on the farm north of Brownstown, Illinois, helping his dad with all the farming. He sat on the old John Deere many an hour working the fields. In high school he was the president of FFA at Brownstown High School. He played basketball and ran track.

He was a member of Liberty Christian Church and with three other&nbsp;teenage boys and a piano player formed a quartet and would sing at many churches within driving distance.

He attended Lincoln Bible Institute and graduated in 1957. Attended Lincoln Christian College where he earned an MA. He continued his education by attending Lincoln Christian Seminary graduating in 1965 with an MDiv. During his time at LBI he met&nbsp;Shirley Frye and they were married November 25, 1955 in Alton, IL.

Preaching ministries included Arm Prairie Christian Church in Fayette County south of Brownstown Illinois. Alma Christian Church in Alma Illinois. First Christian Church in Collinsville Illinois. Highland Church of Christ in Robinson Illinois. Eastside Church of&nbsp;Christ in Scottsbluff Nebraska. First Christian Church in Norfolk Nebraska. First Christian Church in Fountain Valley California. He also had interim ministries at First Christian Church in Huntington Beach California and Community Christian Church in Apache&nbsp;Junction Arizona. After a 10 year ministry at First Christian Church in Santa Ana California, Bob retired and he and Shirley moved to deep east Texas.

In 1971 Bob accepted a position at Platte Valley Bible College and held positions of NT Professor, Academic Dean, Basketball Coach, Public Relations and Fund Raising. While living in Norfolk Nebraska, he taught courses at Nebraska Christian College. In 1980 he served as President of Intermountain Bible College in Grand Junction Colorado. In 1985 worked for Puget Sound Christian College in Edmonds Washington as Public Relations&nbsp;and Fund Raising.

Bob and Shirley traveled extensively visiting family members as their family grew over the years. Bob was in his element and loved being surrounded by grandchildren and great grandchildren. He always made sure they were in attendance at as many special&nbsp;family functions as they could, such as birthdays, graduations, weddings and family reunions. Every event was to be celebrated!

One of the cherished memories is attending the North American Christian Convention which took place every summer in different cities. Bob didn’t miss many of the conventions. It was a great time of re-connecting with many ministry friends around the country and the world. Our children always complained about how many people we would stop and talk to. Our response to them was,&nbsp;“Be glad you’re not with your Grandpa.”

Golf was a favorite pastime of Bob’s and he enjoyed playing anywhere, anytime with anyone who would tee up the ball with him. In his later years, he and Shirley loved going on cruises with their children and their spouses. He always wanted to go one more time and would ask, “When is our next cruise?”

Surviving are Bob’s loving wife, Shirley, daughter Rebecca (Glen) Richards, son Robert (Barbara) Kelly Jr, son James (Lisa) Kelly, daughter Sandra, and son Kevin (Skip) Kelly. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He is sadly missed by all.

Lois Pauline Ochse, 88, of Helena, MO passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025 in Wathena, KS. She was born in Meade, KS on February 26, 1936 to Guy and Flora LeMaster. She married Charles Ochse Jr. in St. Joseph, MO on October 19, 1957 and he survives of the home. &nbsp;

Lois owned and operated a craft shop in South Carolina and was a homemaker for her husband and two sons. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Cosby, MO. She made many heirlooms for her family, quilt blocks, cross stitch, and knitting.

Survivors include her sons; Steven Ochse of St. Joseph and C. Michael (Lisa) Ochse of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren, Cameron Ochse and Mitchell Ochse; sisters, Dasey (Jim) Middleton and Donna (Eddie) Rian of Minnesota; with numerous nieces and nephews. &nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and five sisters. &nbsp;

Lois Pauline Ochse, 88, of Helena, MO passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025 in Wathena, KS. She was born in Meade, KS on February 26, 1936 to Guy and Flora LeMaster. She married Charles Ochse Jr. in St. Joseph, MO on October 19, 1957 and he survives of the home. &nbsp;Lois owned and operated a craft shop in South Carolina and was a homemaker for her husband and two sons. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Cosby, MO. She made many heirlooms for her family, quilt blocks, cross stitch, and knitting.Survivors include her sons; Steven Ochse of St. Joseph and C. Michael (Lisa) Ochse of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren, Cameron Ochse and Mitchell Ochse; sisters, Dasey (Jim) Middleton and Donna (Eddie) Rian of Minnesota; with numerous nieces and nephews. &nbsp;She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and five sisters. &nbsp;Visitation and family receiving hours will be 5:00pm – 7:00pm Friday, February 21, 2025 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Funeral services will be 10:00am Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery in Cosby, MO.<figure>

Robert Earl Jones, 71, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025.

He was born January 15, 1954 in St. Joseph to James and Marion (Weitlich) Jones. Robert was a 1973 graduate of Lafayette High School, where he was an excellent marksman in J-ROTC and a popular guy – because he was one of the first in his class to get a drivers license. He also was a four-time winner of the Ugly Man fundraising competition at Lafayette, a coveted position!

Robert earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice at Missouri Western State College, where he was on the Dean’s Honor Roll, a senator in the Student Government, and a member of Lambda Chi fraternity. Robert mowed lawns, worked at Wonder Bread Bakery and Montgomery Ward during college.

He then earned his master’s degree in criminal justice at Central Missouri State University. He later worked at Riverbend Treatment Center for 11 years until retirement.

Robert loved to bowl and had a 300 game and an 800 series. He also was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He loved to fish as well, thoroughly enjoying annual fishing trips to Minnesota.

Survivors include his stepsister, Karen Bravo (Steve) and her children, Sanya Brown, Kimberly Gardner, and Melissa Bravo; aunt and uncle, Richard and Deborah Weitlich; numerous cousins; and longtime friends, Tony Cox, Jerry Perkins, Randy Cooper, Buddy Merritt, Mark Antle, Dan Reid, Darry Langdon, and Wally Patrick.

The family of Robert would like to give a special thank you to Living Community staff and Mosaic Hospice for providing him with wonderful care.

Charles Everett West passed away on February 16, 2025, at the age of 89. He was born on January 21, 1936, in the Edgerton, MO area to JC and Opal (Waters) West. As a young man, Charley was actively involved in 4-H while growing up on the family farm.

Charley graduated from Gower High School in 1954, where he was a member of FFA and played football. Upon graduation, Charley served for 2 years in the Missouri Air National Guard.

On November 3, 1956, he married Karen (Loutermilch) West, and together they built their home in the Edgerton/Gower area. They later purchased a farm, where they raised their seven children. Charley and Karen shared 67 years of marriage, celebrating their anniversary in November 2023. They spent 50 of those years on the farm they loved so much.

Charley was a devoted member of Frazier Baptist Church, where he took great joy in serving as a deacon, teaching Sunday School, and visiting his deacon families. He was deeply involved in the church community, participating in Bible studies, prayer groups, and fellowship gatherings, forming many lifelong friendships. Charley also served as a board member for Hebron Cemetery in Buchanan County.

In his professional life, Charley spent 30 years working for TWA while also managing the family farm. After retiring in 1992, he continued farming and became a caregiver to many friends and family members, offering his help wherever it was needed.

Charley was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen (Loutermilch) West, his parents JC and Opal West, his brother Jerry D. West, and his daughter Gina Rae West.

He is survived by his children: Dee (John) Moore of Edgerton, MO; Roben (Jeff) Tebbenkamp of Republic, MO; Jayme (Roger) Evans of St. Joseph, MO; Andrea (Tim) Edwards of Kimberling City, MO; Natalie West of Liberty, MO; and Jeff (LeaAnn) West of Bolivar, MO. Charley is also survived by his siblings: Larry West of St. Joseph, MO; Carl (Nancy) West of Gladstone, MO; and Kay (Ron) Jackson of Easton, MO, along with 19 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Frazier Baptist Church in Frazier, MO. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Frazier Baptist Church, with interment at Hebron Cemetery in Gower, MO, at a later date. All arrangements are entrusted to Hixon-Klein Funeral Home.

Larry Branstuder, 73, of Smithville, MO passed away, February 16, 2025.

He was born on July 9, 1951 to George William and Helen Louise (Baker) Branstuder in Kansas City, MO. Larry grew up in Gower where he attended school.

He was united in marriage to Idona Tate. After their marriage they lived in Gower, Plattsburg and later moved to Smithville where they made their home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Idona, on November 7, 2011.

Larry worked for Kindred Chevrolet in Smithville for many years. After his retirement he spent time working on small engines for friends and family. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and hunting.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister Nancy Shalvay.
