A contentious vote on a new data center advisory committee was shot down as the St. Joseph Sity Council voted no on the resolution during Monday's meeting.

The proposal for the advisory committee would have created a citizen led committe, with members designated by City Council members, to provide feedback and recommendations on the development of data centers to the City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission.&nbsp; Six members of the Council voted no on the resolution, to three yes votes.

The City Council will meet again on Monday, August 31st at City Hall.
