David Alan Kline, 64, St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023.
He was born on February 19, 1959, to Wilber Lewis and Mary Dolores (Mann) Kline in St. Joseph, Missouri.
David earned his bachelor’s degree from Missouri Western State University and was active in the United States Army, where he worked as a supply officer. He was a member of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, a proud Eagle Scout and scout master.
David was fascinated with genealogy and would spend up to six hours per day researching his family lineage. He and his wife, Cheryl, enjoyed taking day trips and researching the history of the places they visited together.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilber Kline.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 44 years, Cheryl Kline; their children, Aaron Mitchell Kline, Kerrie Ann Kline, Hans-Dieter Kline, and Emma Moore Kline; five grandchildren; his mother, Mary; two brothers, one sister, and one sister-in-law.
