State Cross Country (Class 1-2)
Class 1 boys - Nodaway Valley’s Riley Blay is a state champion for a third straight year. Bishop LeBlond’s Jon Eckstein finished 8th and Mound City’s Keaton Zembles placed 9th.
Class 1 girls - Mya Wray, a sophomore from Platte Valley, is a state champion.
Class 2 boys - North Platte placed 4th in team standings. Noah Heckman placed 8th to lead the way.
Class 2 girls - North Platte’s Chloe Heckman placed third.
Class 3-5 boys and girls all run on Saturday in Columbia.
State volleyball
Bishop LeBlond fell 3-2 (25-18, 8-25, 29-27, 23-25, 7-15) to Hermann in the semifinals at the Show-Me Center in Cape Girardeau.
LeBlond (32-5) now faces Arcadia Valley (17-16-4) for third place on Saturday at 10 a.m.
