A St. Joseph barber is getting kids get ready to go back to school by giving away free hair cuts before the first day of classes.
Students between kindergarten and 12th grade can go to K.C.’s Barbershop starting at 8am on Saturday, August 15th to get the right haircut that will have them feeling good for the first day of school. The owner of K.C's, K.C Blanchard, has been giving back to the community with free hair cuts for kids since the 2024 school year.
Last year, Blanchard served 17 children each on both his back-to-school and Christmas-time hair cuts. He opened up K.C.’s Barbershop, in April of last year at the Historic Greenacres Building in Suite 162. Blanchard will cut hair on August 15th on a first-come, first-served basis, but will make sure everyone that shows up gets a turn.
The barbershop is open at 8am Tuesday through Saturday with varying closing times. On Saturday’s the shop closes at 2:30pm
