A Buchanan County jury found a St. Joseph man guilty of charges of statuatory sodomy of a victim less than 12 years old.

On Thursday, 37 year old David Hugger Jr. was found guilty of one count of statutory sodomy in the first degree of victim less than 12 years of age, for events that occurred in a residence in St. Joseph in November and December of 2023. 

The case was tried by Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Monica Morrey and&nbsp; assisted by Buchanan County paralegal Joelle Modlin. A final sentencing will be held on July 28th, 2026
