Thomas R. Moreno, 64, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025.
He was born April 17, 1961 in Berlin, Germany, to Zachary and Margot (Tollner) Moreno. Thomas grew up in St. Joseph, where he was a 1979 graduate of Central High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
Thomas worked for several companies as a computer analyst, the last of which was Boehringer Ingelheim.
He was active in the Allied Arts Council, both as a volunteer and actor in productions.
Thomas was known as a very kind man, who liked to spend time with his family, especially Sunday dinners, and took care of his mother in her last years.
He was preceded in death by parents.
Survivors include brother, Steven Moreno; step-mother, Linda Moreno; step-sister, Meredith Colson (Jeremy); nieces and nephews, Aaron (Caitlyn), Sadie (David), Daniel, and Andrew (Katie); five great-nieces; other extended family and friends.
The family will gather with friends at a date to be announced soon.
